What is whitewater Rafting?

Whitewater rafting is negotiating river rapids and obstacles in an inflatable rubber boat with a team of up to seven people and a river guide. Rivers are graded from easy to near-impossible according to their size, the intensity of their rapids and the difficulties that may affect rescue attempts.

What is Kayaking?

Kayaking is usually an individual water sport. Kayaks are made from a special type of plastic and have floatation devices inserted to aid buoyancy. Kayakers move through the water with a double blade paddle, and are able to negotiate rapids and obstacles on the river.

Rafting and Kayaking:
a moving adventure of a life time

Nepal is blessed with an abundance of rivers; it is the land where everyone can find the right river right for himself! A river trip is different from any other vacation. Where else can you experience the thrill of passing through rapids, play sand volley-ball, relax on your own private beach accompanied by the sounds of nature, enjoy delicious food cooked for you and share stories sitting by the candles on the sand beach all in the same day? On what other vacation could people range from 7 up to... there is no upper age limit! Rafting is adventure for all!

Whitewater Rafting in Nepal

It is easy to find the perfect river in Nepal. From a gentle two-day float down the Seti river, to an exhilarating 10-day adventure through the rapids of the remote Tamur, there is an experience for everyone waiting in Nepal's famous white waters. Nepal's rivers change with the seasons. Each year, after the heavy monsoon rains the waters swell, changing the run of the rivers and the nature of the rapids. New rapids are created; others become more difficult and some simply impossible to navigate. It is important to remember that some of the white water action you are about to read about could have changed by the time you come to run the river. We are constantly monitoring changes in the rivers and their rapids, so that we can always ensure the safety of our clients and plan expeditions with precision.

Kayaking in Nepal

With its wide range of rivers and wealth of challenging rapids, Nepal is the perfect destination for kayaking. Whether you are a total beginner or an experienced white water kayaker keen to tackle one of our more challenging rivers, we can arrange a fun and rewarding kayaking experience for you.
Our kayaking school is particularly popular, and we see many familiar faces return to try increasingly exciting river journeys!
