The second period ranges from September to October with relatively colder temperatures. however, it’s not freezing and is easily bearable, especially when it comes to trekkers having a bit of experience.  

The most unstable weather conditions approach in November through January. And even if the weather seems to be fair, it doesn’t take long for things to go downhill fast. Mostly, the nights are when it becomes the hardest as temperatures start to collapse under -20 degrees, and up to -30 degrees.
